What is 260Local University?

260Local University is an expanding learning opportunity for local business members and residents. It turns complicated ideas about online visibility into practical lessons people can understand and use.

The central subject is information optimization: presenting accurate, useful information in a structure that makes a business, service, event, or idea easier to understand and discover.

What participants can learn

Lessons are designed to move from explanation to action. Topics can grow as technology and local discovery change.

  • Write clearer business descriptions and service information
  • Organize categories, locations, offers, images, and frequently asked questions
  • Improve consistency across websites, directories, search engines, and social profiles
  • Understand how structured information helps modern search and AI discovery
  • Build content that is useful to real people—not just algorithms

Class schedule

Live instruction is available for two hours a day Sunday through Wednesday. Thursday is the 24-hour learning day, giving participants a larger window for lessons and activities. There are no classes Friday or Saturday.

260Local University is intended to keep growing. It is a continuing learning resource, not a one-time presentation.
