What is the Street Team?

The 260Local Street Team creates a structured way for teens to learn by participating in community-centered work. Members can help highlight local businesses, share community stories, support outreach, and contribute ideas from a younger perspective.

It is designed to create real experience while helping teens understand the responsibility that comes with representing a community-focused organization.

Skills that can grow

Activities can vary by project, but every experience should help participants practice useful skills.

  • Communication, interviewing, and community storytelling
  • Photography, video, social content, and responsible publishing
  • Teamwork, reliability, planning, and follow-through
  • Professional interaction with local business owners and residents
  • Confidence, creativity, and constructive problem-solving

A responsible youth opportunity

Projects should be age-appropriate, clearly supervised, and built around respect for participants, families, businesses, and the public.

Specific eligibility, schedules, transportation expectations, parental or guardian permission, and participation guidelines will be explained before a teen joins an activity.
